Belonging and Becoming Meeting – Next Sunday, January 17th

Sign Up for Small Group Dinners by Wednesday
If you are looking for a way to get to know your Covenant classmates better, small group dinners are an excellent way to do just that. The next session of dinners will be for January-March, 2010. These monthly dinners give time for 3-4 Covenant couples to chat and get acquainted outside of the classroom setting. Whether you’re a visitor, a relatively new member, or you’ve been part of class for years, please consider taking part in these events. Interested? Email Erica Duncan at doytanderica@cox.net. Deadline for this round of dinners is Wednesday, January 6th.
Baby Shower for Laura Hawkins Next Saturday Morning
Covenant women should have received an evite to Laura Hawkins’ baby shower in the last week. It will be hosted by Julie Holmes next Saturday morning, January 9th, at 10:30am. If you need directions or more information, contact Julie Holmes at julieaylward@yahoo.com

$500 Raised for the Hedrick Family
Thanks to each Covenant family that contributed to the Wal-Mart gift card for the family of Truman Hedrick, the 9 year old fighting bone cancer. Once again, Covenant really stepped up: we raised $500 for the Hedricks!! Recently, Truman was fitted with a prosthesis for his amputated leg. He continues to progress even though his chemo/radiation often leave him weak. Please continue lift the family up in your prayers and check www.caringbridge.com/visit/trumanhedrick for updates and specific ways to help and pray.
Covenant Budget Set for 2010 – Your Contributions Matter
Today in class, Treasurer Trey Cooper discussed the Covenant budget for this year. The overall expenses are projected to be $1,785. If each Covenant family contributed $50 over the course of the year, this would completely cover the expenses. This is in addition to special fundraising in which we participate (Thanksgiving baskets, Youth Stock, mission trips, etc.). Trey will update the class on a quarterly basis on where we stand as far as income vs. expenses. For more details about the budget or how to contribute, contact Trey at coop1028@yahoo.com.
